Homework:

• Using methods shown in class last week, write out your quotation so that it is centered on a sheet of paper.
• Make a second rendition of your quotation, choosing one of the layout variations shown in class. To refresh your memory, you can see those variations on this web page or in PDF format.)
• Continue to practice lettering using a ZIG 5mm marker or Speedball C-2 nib with sumi ink. You have guidelines sheets for these two tools.

The week in review:

• demo - standard italic shown in letter groups, using Speeedball C-2 nib
• individual work time and critique; problem solving re: tools and materials
• demo - layout variations using standard italic only. See links above for a review of those variations.
